Rapp, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, is one of five newcomers on the Warriors’ 2022-23 roster. He is originally from Melbourne, Australia, and was recruited by the Hawai’i coaches in 2018.

Rapp opted to sign with Washington State, and played three seasons with the Cougars. He entered the transfer portal after last season, and was re-recruited by the Hawai’i staff.

“Hawai’i was actually recruiting me out of high school and I took a visit here,” Rapp said. “They reached back out to me when I entered the transfer portal and I felt like this was the spot for me. Ever since I’ve gotten here, it’s 100 percent been the right choice and I can’t wait for the season to get started.”

Rapp is a multi-skilled guard who is expected to challenge for playing time at three different positions – point guard, shooting guard and small forward.

The other newcomers on this season’s roster are Harry Rouhliadeff, Mor Seck, Matija Svetozarevic, and Kody Williams.

Rapp and Rouhliadeff are both from Australia, continuing a tradition of players from Down Under. Eran Ganot became the head coach at Hawai’i during the 2015-16 season, and at least one Australian player has been on the roster every year since then.
