  1. lucky for gib cause this can only help his future as long as he gets into the second round

  2. Great idea to encourage a big turn out. Let’s pack ’em in on Wednesday night.

  3. Kudos and props to Ben Jay AD University of Hawaii! That is the way to promote Ben! Great job, and affords perhaps, a couple of hundred or hopefully more students to go to game for free!

The military offer is great too!

Way to go Ben, you are working it, doing your AD thing, and showing your experience from Ohio St.
Hope State and UH powers that be, get the Athletic Facilities up to par within 5 years at least, for athletes, potential recruits, their families and student intramurals.

Very creative too, use of a restored top notch, non leak roof Klum Gym, and perhaps, turning Cooke field into a 20,000 seat on campus soccer and Football Stadium, With world class track, sand volleyball courts, Tennis courts, upgraded Softball fields, and fixed and safe UH practice gyms 1 and 2. Going to take awhile, however just like Gib, keep moving in the right direction, UH Athletics has potential to be as good as the PAC 12 no doubt!

    Mahlao Ben!

  4. Lets shoot for a 35k on campus stadium made of concrete! and blow up the steel rusted piece of krap in Halawa. Manoa and Moiliili restaurants will love it on game day!

  5. jjay:

I am with you. Ben Jay vision includes possible on campus Football stadium if able. UH sits on a lot of prime real estate, they have federal grants, world class learning and research University, one of the best in the World, Why not it’s Athletic Dept and facilities.

Stan Sheriff could even be expanded a little, that is how it was designed, make another 2000 seats, hold 12,300 there is a lot of room for upward and circular expansion. Swimming complex, showers, weight rooms, locker rooms, training table, have to be world class, or at least PAC 12 class.

Klum gym restore to glory, have private sector, do work on it to Kokua UH and athletes both scholarship and intramural, co-ed.

Ching Field, and or Football Grass practice Field, and quarry, lot of room to make an excellent 35,000 seat FB, soccer, stadium. with additional great parking structure. Imagine, even 30,000 watching UH play USC in a filled stadium, rocking and rolling, no need for aging Aloha. Yes, tear down the rust bucket. A shining new 35,000 with ability to expand to 42,000 in future would be perfect for UH, no need to take bus to Halawa!

Yes, UH , Ben Jay and movers and shakers, start work now, 35K + brand new FB stadium on campus plus a restored Klum gym and all facilities world class!

And thankyou Ben Jay for FREE SEATS for UH vs AFA CIT game!!

  6. Great ticket prices! Students get Free admissions so I hope they turn out in force.

  7. JJones had the Contractors Ready to Work Pro Bono on On-Campus FB Stadium
BUT Infrastructure — Roads, Water, Parking was said “Not Capable to Support”
    (i think Infrastructure Upgrades Prohibitive…)
BUT Bussing/Rail ‘Should’ alleviate much of that…

NOW That ALOHA STADIUM IS PAINTED it’s NOT Such a (Kortend) Rust Bucket
(i think USC Games Average More Than 42,000 Now)

Stan Sheriff Expansion should be to “Minimum 14,000” the Original (Up to 20,000) Proposal —
14K IS The Minimum to Host NCAA Regional
(Teams would have from Sunday to Next Thursday to Fly Back/Adjust)

Without Jamie, Student Council, Manoa Maniacs, Hardcourt Hui & Players Need to Pound the Dorm Doors & RALLY Students!

    WIN Wednesday!

  8. if you guys are ordering tickets, the $8 deal link is only available on the main etickethawaii.com page. if you are shopping normally thru the page and click on the CIT link, you don’t have any chance to select the cheaper tickets in the list of standard ticket prices.
