DaBeast Films: A look back at El Paso

The Hawai’i basketball team is scheduled to depart Honolulu on Monday evening for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at Las Vegas.

The Warriors will face Idaho in a quarterfinal game at 10 a.m. (Hawai’i time) at the Orleans Arena.

Hawai’i is 15-15 overall and finished the WAC regular season at 6-8 and the No. 6 seed for the eight-team tournament. Idaho is 18-12 overall and the No. 3 seed after finishing the WAC regular season at 9-5. The teams split the home-and-home series, with each team winning on the road.

The Warriors are scheduled to arrive in Las Vegas on Tuesday morning, and will have two days of preparation (Tuesday and Wednesday) for Idaho.

By Hawai’i’s standards this season, the actual travel to Las Vegas should be relatively easy, especially compared to its previous road trip, when it logged more than 10,000 air miles while playing games at Montana, New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech.

Below is a behind-the-scenes video look at a bus ride from that trip. In this latest episode of “DaBeast Films” sophomore forward Davis Rozitis interviews several teammates while the Warriors were in El Paso, Texas.
