Warriors bring autographs, smiles to kids

The Hawaii basketball team has three point guards on its roster, but apparently all of the Warriors like to share.

The Warriors recently made a visit to the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children, passing out autographed towels, posing for photos, and chatting with some of the children who are recovering from illness.

“It’s a very humbling experience to come in with people that actually don’t see a lot of bright days and bring sunshine to their day,” forward Joston Thomas said.

Head coach Gib Arnold said it is one of several community service projects the Warriors will participate in this season.

  1. Encouraging to see team out and about, engaged in face to face connections instead of just whizzing by on a moped or strolling around campus.

  2. this is the way a blog should be! thanks!
