Jardine selected for 3X3U National Championship

Casdon Jardine has been selected to participate in the 2021 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship, scheduled for April 2-4 at The Pavilion in Indianapolis.

Jardine, a 6-foot-7 forward, is one of 64 players invited to play in the tournament. He averaged 10.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a senior with the University of Hawai’i this past season. He ranked second on the team with 33 3-pointers and shot 43.4 percent from 3-point range.

The Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship is a 3-on-3 tournament played on a half-court. Baskets scored inside the arc are worth one point, and baskets from beyond the arc are worth two points.

The tournament offers a $150,000 prize purse, including $50,000 for the championship game winner. The semifinal and championship games will be televised on ESPN2 on April 4. All other games will be streamed live via Twitter.

Jardine is the second Hawai’i player in as many years to be selected for the tournament. Eddie Stansberry was selected last year, but the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
