Temple Emanu-El in Nuuanu will be hosting “An Evening With Coach Eran Ganot” this Wednesday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m.

Ganot, the record-setting head coach of the University of Hawai’i basketball team, will be sharing some of his coaching and teaching philosophies in an interview-style format with ESPN 1420 radio host Gary Dickman.

The event is free and open to the public. Temple Emanu-El is located at 2550 Pali Highway at Jack Lane.

Ganot guided the Warriors to a school-record 28 victories during the 2015-16 season, which included the program’s first victory in an NCAA Tournament game. He was also the winner of the Red Auerbach Award, which is presented to the nation’s top Jewish head coach.

Temple Emanu-El is described as “a synagogue community and a center of Jewish life in Hawaii.”

  1. A guard mentioned previously may be signed soon, per McInnis.

  2. My guss is that we’ll be welcoming Larry Lewis!?

  3. Hope Ganot hits up the Jewish community for donations. Adding another guard is good news but I’m hoping for Gibby to sign.

  4. Isaac F to East Carolina, Greenville NC.

  5. I just hope he left in good academic standing.
