Warriors return home to host Saint Francis this Sunday

After a quick “lose money” trip to Las Vegas, the University of Hawai’i basketball team will try to earn back a win in familiar surroundings this Sunday.

The Rainbow Warriors will host Saint Francis (PA) at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Hawai’i is 5-3 following a 77-62 loss to UNLV on Wednesday at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev. The Red Flash from the Northeastern Conference is 3-7.

Here are a few things to know:

• Game sponsor First Hawaiian Bank will distribute rally towels to the first 200 fans,

• Fans can donate new/unwrapped toys for collection by Toys for Tots before the game at Gate A. The toys will be distributed as holiday gifts to appropriate families in the community.

• A women’s basketball game between Hawai’i and UNLV will be played at 2:00 p.m. at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

• This is the first of six consecutive home games for the Warriors.

• After Sunday’s game, the Warriors’ next three games will be in the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, December 22, 23 and 25.

More details about Sunday’s game will be posted later.
