A sparse-but-awe-struck Sunday evening crowd of 1,695 in SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center watched Beon Riley add 13 points off the bench as the Warriors snapped a two-game losing streak and overcame a 40-point performance by Red Flash center Josh Cohen to improve to 6-3. St. Francis fell to 3-7.

The first half was an entertaining back-and-forth affair with multiple lead changes, ending with UH ahead 37-36 at the break. But the Warriors used a 9-4 run to extend it to 56-48 seven minutes in and steadily pulled away, eventually leading 81-61 with four minutes remaining.

Hawai’i’s next game is scheduled for December 22, when it hosts Pepperdine on the opening day of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.

More details, including video highlights and interviews, will be posted later.
