Jean-Marie and Ng are in the Transfer Portal
Two more players from the 2020-21 University of Hawai’i basketball team have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Senior forward/center James Jean-Marie and sophomore guard Kameron Ng joined the list on Wednesday, just two days after sophomore guard Justin Webster was listed.
Jean-Marie averaged 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and had a .543 field goal percentage. He is originally from Montreal, Canada, and transferred to UH from the University of San Diego.
In his only season at Hawai’i, he received honorable mention on the All-Big West Conference Team.
Although he is a senior, Jean-Marie has one more season of eligibility. The NCAA is allowing all players from the 2020-21 season to have one extra season due to the COVID-19 restrictions that were in place.
Ng actually “opted out” of the 2020-21 season in January. He played sparingly in just four games before his decision was announced. He was eligible to return to UH without penalty for the opt out, if he chose to do so.
Ng, who was the Hawai’i high school player of the year at Saint Francis School prior to UH, also played sparingly as a freshman last season.

Four players from the 2020-21 Hawai’i roster are now listed in the transfer portal. In addition to the three this week, junior forward Manel Ayol entered the portal in January.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are expected to receive at least one player currently listed in the portal. Forward Jerome Desrosiers from Princeton previously made a commitment to transfer to Hawai’i.
