Hemsley is the latest Warrior in the Transfer Portal
Another day, another player in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Justin Hemsley became the latest player from the 2020-21 University of Hawai’i basketball roster to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal, doing so on Friday afternoon. Verbalcommits.com, which tracks NCAA transfers, announced Hemsley’s entry to the list. He is one of five Rainbow Warriors now on the list.
Hemsley, a 6-foot-6 junior guard/forward, is a four-year member of the Warriors, and could qualify as a graduate transfer for the 2021-22 season. This past season he averaged 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game as a key reserve.
Hemsley redshirted his first season at UH, then averaged 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in 11.0 minutes per contest over the next three seasons.
He is the fourth Hawai’i player to enter the transfer portal this week, joining Justin Webster, James Jean-Marie and Kameron Ng. Another player, Manel Ayol, entered the portal in January.
It is a sign of the times, as there are currently more than 660 players in the transfer portal, according to Verbalcommits.com.
