Head coach Eran Ganot recently provided some updates. Here are some of his comments on the sophomores and freshmen (full interview can be heard in the video above).

• Bernardo da Silva: “He’s been set back recently, but just came back recently … he’s gained 15 pounds, he’s stronger and he’s got a year under his belt. We’ve always been really high in what we see in him.”

• Justin Webster: “He’s going to be moving up the (opponent’s) scout and so I think he’s exciting and ready for the challenge. It’s funny to talk to him about where he was at last year compared to this year, and just how far ahead he is.”

• Noel Coleman: “He’s missed some time outside of his control … he has to work to get his conditioning back, but he’s another Division I (transfer). He’s got great poise and composure. He’s really good in ball screens and he really studies the game.”

• Jovon McClanahan: “He’s a real serious, focused competitor. His confidence is awesome, and he can really shoot the ball.”

• Zoar Nedd: “He’s one of those guys who’s gotten better every year he’s been here. Even during this stretch when we’ve been missing guys, he’s a guy who plugs in at every position and knows how to run it at both ends.”

• Kameron Ng: “Kameron’s a gym rat … he’s had a healthy off season and a healthy practice portion so far … the fact that he’s gotten stronger and more skilled is exciting.”

• Beon Riley: “As physically ready a freshman as I think you’ll ever see. … He’s a beast. He’s tough around the rim, he’s tough on the boards, he’s not afraid.”

• Biwali Bayles: “He’s unafraid, competitive, great belief. He’s a guy who can make a move as a shooter … Right away, he’s one of our best energy guys. I don’t think he gets tired.”
