Warriors post perfect 1,000 APR score
The University of Hawai’i basketball team recorded a perfect 1,000 score in the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate (APR) data released on Tuesday. The score is from the 2018-19 academic year.
It is the second consecutive year that the Rainbow Warriors received a score of 1,000, and the program’s “Multi-Year Rate” score is now at 983 – the highest among the nine programs in the Big West Conference.
The APR holds institutions accountable for the academic progress of their student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term.
The Multi-Year Rate is a reflection of the last four academic years. Low scores in the Multi-Year Rate can result in NCAA penalties.

The APR noted above was for 2018-19 not 2019-20. 2018-19 had transfers out of Green and B Thomas. …Looks like they had a high enough GPA, 2.6 or above, that the transfer penalty for each was waived.
