Up next: 100th season will be celebrated when Warriors host UC Davis on Saturday

The University of Hawai’i basketball team will play just one
game this week, and it will be a special one … hopefully resulting in a
victory.
The Rainbow Warriors will host UC Davis this Saturday in what could be a
showdown for positioning near the top of the Big West Conference standings. The
game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Hawai’i is 12-6 overall and 3-1 in the Big West. The Aggies, who have a home
game on Wednesday before heading to Honolulu, are 8-11 overall and 2-1 in the
conference.
Regardless of Saturday’s outcome, the UH basketball program will celebrate its
100th season of competition that night.
Numerous former UH players and coaches are expected to attend. Former head
coach Riley Wallace will serve as the honorary captain for the game, and the other
coaches and players in attendance will be recognized at halftime. A video
presentation of some of the top moments in UH basketball history will also be
shown at halftime.
