A crowd of about 2,500 at the Stan Sheriff Center watched Drew Buggs add nine points, seven boards and five assists as the Warriors won despite the absence of head coach Eran Ganot, who is on indefinite medical leave.

Kamron Reaves scored 11 points to lead the Rattlers, who fell to 0-2.
The Warriors jumped out to a 21-4 lead in the game’s first 11 minutes, and then expanded it to 32-12 by halftime.

FAMU opened the second half with a 5-0 run to close it to 32-17 after M.J. Randolph’s 3-pointer with 17:23 remaining, but UH responded with an 11-0 run to stretch the lead to 43-17 on Bernardo Da Silva’s free throw with 14 minutes left, and the Rattlers could not get closer than 15 points until the final minute.
