Introducing the 2018-19 Warriors

The University of Hawai’i basketball team held a photo/media day on Wednesday at the Stan Sheriff Center.

There are 15 Rainbow Warriors on the 2018-19 roster, including returning senior starters Sheriff Drammeh, Jack Purchase and Brocke Stepteau.

Official practices are scheduled to start this Saturday. Each team is allowed to conduct 30 practice days prior to the opening game. Hawai’i is scheduled to open its season on November 9 against Portland.

The NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers have been training in the Stan Sheriff Center this week. The Clippers will play the Sydney Kings from Australia on Sunday, 3:30 p.m. at the Sheriff Center.

Fans attending Sunday’s game are encouraged to arrive early because all guests entering the arena will be required to follow NBA-mandated security procedures. This includes the use of walk-through metal detectors and search of all bags, purses, backpacks and similar items.
