Warriors making time to enjoy Australia
The 2018 Down Under Tour is about more than just exhibition games in various cities of Australia for the University of Hawai’i basketball team.
The Rainbow Warriors have taken time to explore each city on the tour, and visit with friends and family in the country. In particular, the family of Jack Purchase hosted a team meal in Melbourne over the weekend, and the family of Mate Colina did the same a couple of nights later.
The team also visited an aquarium and shopping mall in Melbourne, attended an Australian Rules Football game, and held a weightlifting session in a local gymnasium.
The next exhibition game on the 2018 Down Under Tour is scheduled for Tuesday (Wednesday in Australia) against Centre of Excellence at the Australia Institute of Sport in Canberra.

So who were the starting 5 for the 2nd game ?
Buggs, Brocke, Sheriff, Jack and Mate ?
IM, Clyde,
Game 2 Starters: Jack Purchase, Maté Colina, Sheriff Drammeh, Samuta Avea and Drew Buggs
(Yep, Brocke Exploded off of The Bench….)
But Only Maté Earned Another Start…others for stated defensive lapses…
Game 3 Starters: Brocke Stepteau, Brandon Thomas, Eddie Stansberry, Maté Colina, Owen Hulland…
As UH Again let the opposition back into the game, COE cut into the 37-19, 18 point half-time deficit in the third quarter to 47-36 then continued into the fourth cutting it to six, before Brocke ignited a strong finishing kick to win by 18, 70-52…
EYES ON Centre of Excellence:
6-8 Power Forward KYLE BOWEN (#11, 10pts) and
6-5 Wing ALEX DUCAS (#8, 1-5 on 3’s)…
UH SCORING: Maté 14, Drew 11, Eddie 9, Brandon (2-2 on 3’s) 8, Owen & Jack (2-8 3’s) 6;
Brocke, Sheriff, Carper, Samuta 4 each;
After a Short but Rocky flight from Melbourne to Canberra—
several should be glad that tomorrow’s trip to Sydney is Via Ground versus Airbus…
BIG STEP UP NEEDED TO CONTINUE WINNING IN GAME 4 —
