Youth camps coming up in June

The University of Hawai’i basketball team will be hosting camps in the month of June for youth players of all ages and skill levels.

The first camp is set for June 4-7, and a second camp is set for June 25-28. Separate shooting clinics are set for June 8 and 29.

Each day of instruction runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the UH-Manoa Athletic Complex. Daily instruction will take place in the same gyms used by the UH basketball team: Stan Sheriff Center, Gym I, Gym II and Klum Gym.

Entry fee is $275 per player for each of the four-day camps (or $500 per player to enter both camps). The shooting clinic is $75 per camp (or $125 to enter both).

Players will be separated into groups based on age and skill level. All participants will need to bring their own basketball shoes, proper practice clothing, lunch, and a water bottle.

Head coach Eran Ganot and his staff will lead the daily instruction, along with some of the players from the UH program.

  1. Saw who I’m pretty certain was Bob Nash walking in the Diamond Head area yesterday. Should have asked him if he applied for the assistant coaching position. I believe Stewart coached the posts; think Nash more qualified tutoring that position.

  2. Things are very slow this summer
