HONOLULU – The University of Hawai’i Men’s Basketball program will host its Second Annual Tipoff Event on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Stan Sheriff Center. Last year’s inaugural event was a huge hit. Fans can expect more of the same this year with the opportunity to enjoy great food, win auction items, and meet and greet the players and staff of this year’s Rainbow Warrior basketball team.
“We’re really excited about this season’s Tipoff Event,” head coach Eran Ganot said. “especially after such an enjoyable evening last year. We had nearly 450 folks come out for our first event and we’re hoping for an even better turnout this time around. The support we receive here in Hawai’i is second to none. I’m sure it’ll be another memorable night for everyone in attendance.”
The fundraiser starts at 5:30 p.m. with drinks and a silent auction. Dinner and a program will follow with players and members of the coaching staff participating in a Q&A with the broadcast team from Spectrum Sports.
Tables (seating 10) are available beginning at $1,500. Individual tickets may also be purchased at $125 each. Contact Todd Okeson at okeson@hawaii.edu.
All proceeds from the evening will go to men’s basketball program. Most of the funds will be directed toward student-athlete tuition and health and nutrition. It will also benefit the program’s recruiting and retention efforts.
Would love to see some interviews of the players.
