One more camp coming up for youth players

CampPic

There will be one more chance this summer for youth players to participate in a summer camp with the University of Hawai’i basketball team.

The Rainbow Warrior Basketball Camp is scheduled for August 3-6 at the UH-Manoa Athletics Complex, and it is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 17, of all skill levels.

New head coach Eran Ganot and his staff will lead the daily instruction. What’s more, many of the current players are expected to be on the island that week, so they will assist with the instruction.

Each daily session begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. A typical day at the camp will include fundamental drills in the morning, followed by group scrimmages in the afternoon.

Camp coordinator Jamie Smith said that each day of the camp will feature a different theme. For example, the first day will be “Green Out” and each participant will receive a free green T-shirt.

Entry fee is $250 per child. CLICK HERE for more information about the camp.

Send an e-mail to smithjam@hawaii.edu or call the UH basketball office at 956-6501 for more information.
