DaBeast Films: More from Moloka’i
In Part II of DaBeast Film’s “Weekend on Moloka’i,” junior forward Davis Rozitis continues to provide a behind-the-scenes look at the Hawai’i basketball team’s weekend retreat on Moloka’i.
In this episode, Rozitis:
* Purchases a Moloka’i shave ice along with teammate Isaac Fotu, and tries to convince Fotu to do a haka dance.
* Visits the Kalaupapa Overlook and interviews freshman Dyrbe Enos.
* Visits Kamoi Snack-n-Go, also known as “the only ice cream store on the island.”
* Interviews teammates Hauns Brereton, Caleb Dressler and Michael Harper as the team prepared to depart the island of Moloka’i.
We actually have more video footage from the team’s Moloka’i weekend retreat, but we’ll save some of it for next week.
Of course, the more immediate attention is focused on Friday’s exhibition opener against Hawai’i Pacific at the Stan Sheriff Center. The NCAA Division II Sea Warriors already have exhibition experience this season, as they are coming off a 64-63 road exhibition loss at Santa Clara on Tuesday.

lucky you go molokai.
lived here practically all my life and have yet to go there.
Looked like quite an experience for the team. Davis did a good job behind the camera.
Thank you for sharing these updated videos on your trip to Molokai………..truly amazing. I have family on Molokai but I still have yet to travel there. Loving these team-bonding experiences. But moreover it gives the players the opportunity to see what they truly represent. They represent more than just Oahu…………they represent ALL the Hawaiian Islands. Great for them. So only 2 more islands to check off the list: Kauai and Lanai.
WHEN Coach & Team get to Lanai:
The “Ultimate GOAL” ought to be to Recruit DADDY BIGBUCKS —
Get Him & Family to fall in Love with UHBB Teams and UH Athletics in general ….
Then we can Have the Next “Ducks to Riches” Story…
Suggested National Feature Headline — Former “Rainbows” Finally Find Pot of GOLD…
AND rather than Cowboys as ‘America’s Team’ (sic)
Hawai’i can be the “Ultimate World Melting Pot Team” (Which we always claimed)…
…and Yes, Davis ….
Very Good (Stable, too!) work behind the Cam…
i’m sure Family & Friends will watch over and over…
Visiting Kalaupapa where TWO SAINTS (Out of Total 16 in U.S.A.) worked is incredible gifting from Coach to players and fans….
Especially as Today is …
(Happy All!)
ALL-SAINTS DAY….
[Agree wit
Agree with Dyrbe as well …there is a sadness there…(But Saints do their best work when…)
Too Bad “we” ever felt the need to isolate people (in a separate hard to reach city and island)
Thanks for the film work Davis – Tim Tams are on their way
Good luck boys for the game on Friday
Go Warriors
Aussie Mum, I see you’re not above a good bribe to get Davis to interview Michael more often. ;o)
imho889600 – oh no – you have found me out!!!!
POSITIVE (& when necessary, Negative) Reinforcement
