Warriors attend pep rally for fans

LAS VEGAS — The Hawaii basketball team got its fans ready for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at a pep rally on Wednesday evening at the Orleans Hotel & Casino.

The Warriors were introduced to the fans and signed autographs, and then head coach Gib Arnold addressed the crowd.

“I packed three aloha shirts for three games and I want to wear them all,” Arnold said. “And I know these guys are going to give it all they got.

The UH pep band and Rainbow Warrior Dancers also performed at the rally.

The Warriors will face Idaho in a quarterfinal game of the WAC Tournament on Thursday at 10 a.m. (Hawaii time). Dozens of Hawaii fans made the trip to Las Vegas to cheer for the Warriors.
