Need a break from bad news? Check out InZane Video and DaBeast Films
It’s evident that fans of the Hawai’i basketball team could use a reprieve from all the bad news to hit the Warriors in recent weeks.
While this post is not necessarily about “good” news – or “news” for that matter – it does offer something different … and perhaps might be enough to generate a smile or two.
Leave it to InZane Video and DaBeast Films to try and lighten the mood.
These videos were actually captured during the team’s last road trip – yes, the one that lasted 10 days and covered more than 10,000 air miles and started this whole losing streak.
But all was not lost on the trip. The Warriors took some time to do some good in the form of community service.
During their week-long stay in El Paso, Texas (in between games at Montana and New Mexico State), the Warriors chose a day to volunteer serving meals at a homeless shelter.
The first video below is Zane Johnson’s perspective of the day; the second video is from Davis Rozitis’s perspective.
Of course, the reality of Johnson’s absence at this week’s Western Athletic Conference Tournament has set in, and the Warriors have already started practicing without him in Las Vegas.
But as these videos show, Johnson’s presence off the court will be missed as well.
WarriorInsider.com will begin covering the team from Las Vegas on Wednesday, including a preview of the quarterfinal matchup with Idaho (which should be posted by Wednesday evening).
Thanks Dayton (and Zane and Davis). It’s nice to see the team giving back to the city of El Paso, which — through Gib’s contact with UTEP — treated them well during their extended stay. This is a side of the team that is rarely captured or reported on. Shout outs to the players and coaches for representing Hawaii well.
