DaBeast Films from Las Vegas

A road trip with the Hawaii basketball team would not be complete without DaBeast Films.

While the season did not end the way the Warriors wanted, they did put up a valiant effort in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament last week at Las Vegas. The Warriors upset Idaho in the quarterfinals, then nearly pulled off an epic comeback in an eventual loss to New Mexico State in the semifinals.

The Warriors finished the season with a 16-16 record, and returned to Honolulu this week. Classes at UH are still in session, so the players have been catching up on school work this week.

Rozitis captured behind-the-scenes video footage for WarriorInsider.com during the team’s trip to Las Vegas. In this episode, he interviews teammates Vander Joaquim and Hauns Brereton shortly after arriving in Las Vegas.

Among the gems in this episode is Joaquim’s response to the question “what is the secret to making All-WAC?”

“Eat a lof of manapua,” Joaquim said.

Rozitis captured additional video from the trip, so more episodes of DaBeast Films will be posted in the coming days.
