Technical difficulties in China
We’ve hit a little bump in the road in terms of WarriorInsider.com’s coverage of the Hawaii basketball team in Asia.
China does not allow computer access to video sites, including vimeo.com (which we use to prepare videos for WarriorInsider.com). Similar sites such as youtube.com and even facebook.com can not be accessed from where we are staying in DongGuan, China.
Even the previous videos that were already posted on WarriorInsider.com can not be viewed here in China.
For the time being, we will still provide coverage in the form of stories and photos.
However, it looks like we won’t be able to post any video coverage until we leave China.
Don’t worry though. We’re still capturing a lot of video footage, and will post them all eventually, even if it means waiting until we return to Hawaii (trust me, some of it will be worth waiting for).
Sorry for the inconvenience and hope that you all keep checking back often for updates.
The Warriors did arrive safely in China on Sunday afternoon, and already had a full day of activities. Please check back soon for updates.
AUWE! Is this what clyde was talking about, in terms of logistics?. Well, we’ll keep checking back for more updates. Good to hear you guys are already in China. Any problems with Typhoon Muifa approaching?
Seems like all foreign video sharing websites are banned in China. Local ones like todou and youku are not.
UPDATE
Good news, looks like we figured out a way to post videos again.
It’s going to be a lengthy and time-consuming process, so the updates won’t exactly be “live” but at least we should be able to give you fans some video of the team again.
Check back for updates on the main page.
I’ll also try to keep you updated through the comments section, especially with game results.
Thanks to all of you for the support and understanding.
