Chinese phrases for coaches
Gib Arnold admits he does not know much about the Chinese language.
Hauns Brereton, on the other hand, is practically fluent in Mandarin Chinese after having spent two years living in Taiwan while on a church mission from 2007-09.
So it makes sense that Arnold – the head coach of the Hawaii basketball team – is relying on Brereton to fill him in on some key coaching phrases as the Warriors prepare to depart for their trip to Asia.
The Warriors are scheduled to leave on Friday, Aug. 5, and will spend two weeks in China and Japan. The trip will include at least seven exhibition games, and most of them will take place in China – presumably with Chinese referees.
Brereton, a junior forward, is expected to play a key role on the court for the Warriors, and an even bigger role as the team interpreter during the trip.

That video is hilarious. Sheesh…..Hauns is pretty good speaking the Chinese language. I’m figuring Hauns is gonna be close to Coach’s side wherever they go.
